Qualifications and Disclaimer
- Medxphysio provides the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- At Medxphysio, we are committed to providing high-quality physiotherapy care. All our physiotherapists are qualified healthcare professionals registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They possess the necessary qualifications, experience, and ongoing training to deliver effective physiotherapy treatments. Here's a brief overview of our team's qualifications:
Chartered Physiotherapists (MCSP): Hold a Master's degree in physiotherapy and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
State Registered Physiotherapists (SRPs): Possess a Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and are registered with the HCPC.
Physiotherapy Assistants (PTAs): Work under the supervision of qualified physiotherapists and hold a relevant diploma or degree in physiotherapy.
Disclaimer: Limitations of Online Consultations
While online consultations offer a convenient way to discuss your initial concerns and explore treatment options, they have limitations. A comprehensive physiotherapy assessment often requires a physical examination to accurately diagnose your condition and develop the most effective treatment plan. Here's why in-person assessments might be necessary:
- Physical examination: Allows the physiotherapist to assess movement, posture, muscle strength, and joint range of motion.
- Palpation: Enables the physiotherapist to identify areas of pain, tenderness, or swelling.
- Specialized tests: Depending on your condition, specific tests may be needed to assess your balance, reflexes, or nerve function.
We recommend scheduling an in-person assessment for:
- Acute injuries (e.g., sprains, fractures)
- Chronic pain conditions
- Neurological conditions
- Complex conditions requiring manual therapy techniques
Benefits of In-Person Assessment:
- More accurate diagnosis and treatment plan development.
- Hands-on treatment techniques for faster recovery.
- Personalized guidance and support from your physiotherapist.
If you are unsure whether an online consultation or an in-person assessment is right for you, please contact us. We are happy to discuss your specific needs and recommend the best course of action.
